It is with great pride that we can announce today our Director, Jessica Craig, is a finalist in the Western Sydney Awards for Business Excellence.
Nominated in the Young Employee category for her unwavering leadership over the past year, Jessica has excelled in being able to deliver measurable results for our clients.
Whilst this may seem to be an expected part of the job role, Jessica has been successful while also facing a personal tragedy, the loss of her husband, last year.
Jessica showed leadership and courage while leading some of our key client projects, including the establishment of The Housing Supply Association and the launch of The Showground. In both cases, Jessica was instrumental in ensuring staff and contractors were meeting deliverable timelines and took on a large amount of the work herself.
“Jessica’s work ethic, knowledge and dedication has played a critical role to the success of our business recently,” says Hugo Halliday’s Managing Director, Bill Pickering.
“Our clients would testify that Jessica has risen above expectations to deliver entire projects in sometimes, seemingly unfeasible, timeframes.”
Of her nomination, Jessica says it is unexpected and she is humbled by the recognition.
“Dealing with significant and sudden grief, while maintaining a proactive and leadership presence at work was the single hardest thing I’ve ever had to do, but knew I had to push through and not let my colleagues, family or clients down,” says Jessica.
“Being nominated as a finalist in the Western Sydney Awards for Business Excellence is exceptionally humbling and I am grateful for the opportunity.”
The Western Sydney Awards for Business Excellence is an annual awards program recognising leaders and businesses in Greater Western Sydney. A panel of experts from across the region spent eight weeks deliberating through a long list of entrants.
Finalists will be honoured at an exclusive on Friday the 24th of August. Winners will be announced at the annual WSABE gala on Friday September 21st in the presence of the Hon Gladys Berejiklian MP, Premier of NSW.
